Beverley Sarstedt is our Practitioner of the Quarter! Beverley is a registered Scottish Nutritional Therapist with an ADMCP (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice). Her Natural Health Shop and Wellness Centre, Nourishing Insights, is based in Aberdeen and specialises in Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine.
Beverley practices alongside Business Manager, Harriette Robinson. Together they provide a range of services for clients including nutritional therapy, massage therapy and meditation.
For four years now, Beverley has been using Lorisian’s food intolerance testing* to help her clients address a range of conditions, which include IBS, eczema, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, MS, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, endometriosis, migraines and mental health issues.
Some of Beverley’s clients have been suffering for years and sometimes decades with their conditions but Beverley says the success rate of food intolerance testing* has been “very high”.
“The key is in addressing the underlying reasons in the client history for intestinal permeability and addressing the whole story,” she explains.
Through the use of a simple finger prick blood test, Lorisian’s expert laboratory team analyse her client’s IgG antibody reactions to over 200 foods and drinks. They then provide colour coded results and comprehensive support material to outline their personal trigger foods. This information helps form the basis of a guided elimination diet.
“Lorisian is a valuable part of our service,” said Beverley. “Their Account Managers have been first class in supporting and advising us and are always available to answer any queries…it’s a very efficient and easy to use service.”

*Lorisian define food intolerance as a food-specific IgG reaction. Their information is intended to provide nutritional advice for dietary optimisation. Lorisian do not claim to treat or cure symptoms and recommend that you encourage your client to discuss any medical concerns they have with a doctor before undertaking a Lorisian test.
