What will this test find out?

The purpose of this test is to identify a person’s individual food intolerances, which Lorisian defines as a food-specific IgG reaction. IgG testing can provide you with an ideal starting point for an elimination diet suited to your client’s needs. Please note that this test will NOT pick up on the following:

  • Chemical sensitivities
  • Histamine sensitivity
  • Coeliac disease
  • Food allergies (IgE antibodies)
  • Enzyme deficiencies, such as lactose intolerance

    How does the test work?

    The test is designed to be taken at home and sent to our laboratory in a pre-paid envelope. All we need is small blood sample, which is obtained with a simple prick of the finger. We will then analyse IgG antibody reactions in the blood, when it is exposed to over 150 food and drink ingredients. The kit will come with a step by step guide on how to take the test.

    How accurate are the results?

    Here at Lorisian we are proud of our >98% reproducibility rate – meaning two tests analysed at the same time with the same blood sample will match >98% of the time. Our laboratory is overseen by expert Biochemist Dr Gill Hart who has over 30 years of experience in the development and validation of diagnostic tests and services.
