Why test your client’s liver health?
The liver is a vital organ and has a unique ability to regenerate. However, we only have one and it cannot survive continuous damage and, as a result, needs looking after. ALT enzymes are found in the liver and AST enzymes are normally found in many tissues including liver, heart, muscle, kidney and brain. Without enzymes, the body would not be able to carry out its basic functions. The overall LiverCheck score we provide considers ALT and AST results to assign a unique colour coded score to determine one’s overall liver health.
How does the liver test work?
The test is a quick and easy home-to-laboratory test that delivers reliable laboratory test results within just 10 days. All we need is a small blood sample, which is obtained with a simple prick of the finger. We will then analyse the blood to ascertain your client’s liver health. The test kit will come with a step by step guide on how to take the test.
How can my client’s liver health be improved?
Whether your client’s LiverCheck score is within the recommended normal range or less than optimal, your client can still make improvements to their health. These include assessing weekly alcohol consumption, assessing current diet and weight and exercising more frequently.
We will provide a lifestyle planner with the results guidebook and encourage your client to take the lifestyle audit.
